General > Add one or several Limas to my account (backup)

Hello everyone,

I’m pleased to announce that you can now add several Lima devices to your account to create a backup of your data in case of hard drive failures or natural damages.

To do so, please update to the latest version of the Lima app (1.1).

  • Here's a step-by-step video showing you how to add a second Lima here.
  • You can also find the written version of the process here : How to add a new Lima to my account

Note that this feature is in beta at this stage : we're looking forward to hearing your feedback soon,

Karin

Alexis and Peter,

In the specific situation where 2 (or more) Lima devices are connected to a router on which UPnP is disabled or not supported, the procedure to manually redirect port 25211 can only be performed on one of the Lima devices.

The limitation is that without UPnP support, only one Lima device can be in direct mode in the same LAN.

Note that we highly recommend to install your 2d Lima device in another location than the first one (on a router that can be UPnP enabled or not). That way, your files are safe even if something happens to your home (if there's a fire for instance) & performances are increased.

Hi,

I've got 2 lima connected on the same LAN with UPnP enabled.

First lima is on P2P mode but the second one is on relay mode.

Is there a way to set the second lima on P2P mode as well ?

Thanks

Hi,

Your explanations and videos do not apply to my case.

I want to use my second lima for what i did purchase it : backup.

This second lima makes use of another dummy lima account that I did create long time ago, just for tests.

I want now that second lima to be attached to the same account as my first lima so that it does not appear as "ALREADY IN USE". How do i do that ?
