Compatibility > macOS > High Sierra

Hello Lima community,

As you might know, Apple releases a new OS every year around fall.

This year this OS is named "High Sierra".

Indeed, we plan to support this new macOS version.

So far and as this is a Beta version, we are not compatible yet, but we are doing our best to make Lima work with "High Sierra" when Apple will release it.

We'll keep you informed here when your Lima app will support "High Sierra"

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Thanks again for sharing your feedback with the Lima community.

We have been testing the last parts of the Lima app to make Lima compatible with High Sierra. Having said that, I am glad to inform you that we have just uploaded a new version of the Lima App, the 1.4.4 "Beta High Sierra support". You can download it here. Note that, if you don't have High Sierra installed, you can keep your current Lima App version becase nothing will change for you. If you have High Sierra installed, you can download the beta version of the Lima App and to share your feedback with us.

A new version with the full support of High Sierra will be released soon. We will keep you informed about it so everybody will be able to update their Lima App.

Thanks for your support and for your critics. It helps us to get better!

Is 2 weeks enough time? Or a week since I installed High Sierra and updated the Lima app?

I understand that Lima takes some time, but the point is it's not working properly. It does show up as a drive, only the system doesn't treat it as a real drive - it won't index it, for one thing. I thought perhaps that was because of where it lives, being in a hidden folder, which other programs also have problems with in OS X. I'm not certain of that, but I am certain that it doesn't work properly, and didn't even before I installed the new system.

And I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, and waited days, up to weeks, with no result. So there's another problem besides time. Suggestions appreciated.

Since this is not an suggestion, rather a critical problem, I started a specific thread in the Problems section.
