Need Answer

Every time I open my Lima it says "There is a problem with the Lima application"

This has been going on now for the past few months, before that everything was working fine. Nothing has changed on my PC's configuration.

Same here. Now I uninstalled Lima :(

This started happening to me once I upgraded to the Windows 10 Insider builds (build 170xx). Lima is now unable to mount the drive (L:) and the app eventually fails.

I found a fix for Windows Insider builds. A registry key that determines whether legacy filter drivers are loaded had its default value changed to disabled in Insider builders. You can easily revert this change by following the instructions here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/ifs/blocking-file-system-filter-drivers.
