Under Consideration

Lima needs to be able to work behind a proxy server

Those people like me who need to take a laptop to work often have to access the Internet from behind a proxy server. Presently Lima has no idea what to do when it encounters a proxy and says there is 'no internet connection'. And so our Lima drive data remains inaccessible from remote locations with a proxy. Some very prominent competition in the cloud storage market already has this feature. Could we please have this option added to Lima apps so that we can manually enter proxy server settings, including password and username and enable access to the internet. I realise this may present challenges for a 'unified' Lima workspace but perhaps in that case, proxy access could make use of a cache or allow limited functionality on the device like the present, non-unified Lima mode.

I'm with you guys. It makes no sense to implement an easy solution (and it is really easy) without the possibility to work on client side behind a proxy. Just have a look who is using Lima at the moment in general. People who are more or less, techies or, at least, professional computer users. Despite the fact that I'm using ownCloud in parallel, installed on a Raspberry(Works like a charm, Client works perfectly behind a proxy, comparable functions and a web interface), I've also already ordered the new Lima Ultra. . Please consider and provide a solution. Best regards. Ivan

Still Under Consideration after an year, it is not that much work. I'm a developer myself, and know what it takes.

Come on guys, you'll reach more users/customers if you'll implement this.

I fully agree, too. Most time of the day I'm at work behind a proxy and currently can't use my LIMA...
