Lima not uploading

I am having a problem on my Android phone, getting Lima to upload my pictures.

I have selected a list of files to upload, but nothing is happening. I have tried with and without Wifi on, and I even left it on Wifi overnight, and no files had been uploaded-

Sometimes I can get it to upload one file, by going out of the app, and then back in and go to the Upload screen.

As you can see on this screenshot, I had my Wifi on at 22.40 (11.40PM) at night. So it should be uploading (even though I have switched Mobile data on as well).

Below you can see the result at 07 in the morning. Nothing has happened at all:

Seems the Lima app just hangs and gets stuck. I have not used on mobile devices but have tried to load files from 2 different connected computers; it will load some of the files and then just stop, similar to what you are seeing on your mobile. No explanation. Failed software, not ready for prime time.

Hell Anders,

It seems that actually you need to have the Lima app in front to upload or download files.

Have a great day.

That doesn't work either. Once in a while it will upload one file, but then stop. It doesn't matter if I leave it in the foreground or not.

Which is horrible design btw ... it should upload in the background. Who wants to sit around with the app in the foreground while it uploads 1 GB of pics and video?

I am seeing the same behaviour while trying to upload via MAC or PC. Once in a while, one files gets uploaded, but otherwise nothing.

Hello Anders,

I understand your problem, but i'm not a part of Lima team, so i can't help further. Consider to send an email to the support team "[email protected]" to have a full support to your problem. They surely help you better than me ^^

Have a shinny sunday !!

Ps: i'm just a user of Lima who try to help others... :)

I have this same problem on iPhone and now my Windows 10 computer will not upload/sync to Lima. I can open and view files on Lima from both devices. Just no sync to Lima itself.

Same problem here! I can see the files on my laptop (windows 10), but they don't appear on my iPhone.

And help is always appreciated Athamee :) ... but this is the Lima feedback site. So one would hope they would read (and respond) to these things.

I have the same issue and I have tried everything suggested so far (same network, keep the upload screen in the foreground). I have also tried with two different android devices. This thread started two months ago and no one from Lima has responded. Do any of you know where/how to contact them directly?

I wrote them directly in their support email 2 months ago. Still no answer. So I don't expect anything.

I gave up on mine shortly after my last post and re-sold it on ebay. Bought a Sinology NAS which works great.

@Anders: they don't seem to focus very much on bug fixes. New updates are far too rare for the large amount of open issues / bugs. Really sad. :(

I found a solution! Had the same problem, too. The issue was that my smartphone and the Lima were not connected to the same WLAN (Lima in main WLAN, smartphone in Guest-WLAN). When I connected them all to the same it started uploading the files.

Maybe it helps...

Sadly not the case for me.

I have the issue on all my devices, and Desktop and MacBook are always on the network at home where my Lima is.

Also even if I wasn't, the whole point of the Lima, was that you could upload from anywhere, it would just be slower, as it has to go through their servers.

I actually managed to get hold of someone in support regarding this, and for my mobile device, their solution was this:

So, regarding the issue you raised in our Feedback Centre, it may be possible that you are facing a synchronisation issue between your Lima and your mobile device, and this behaviour can be fixed by forcing it.To do so, please follow these steps:
- Reboot your mobile device.- Connect your mobile to his power supply.
- Remove the sleep mode.
- Connect your mobile device to the same network than your Lima.
- Launch only the Lima App and let it in the foreground of your device with all other Apps closed.
- Please wait for 10 minutes.
Then reboot your mobile device and launch the Lima app; you should see an improvement.
Please note that file synchronisation may fail if your mobile device is going in sleep mode during the process so it's really necessary to remove sleep mode and connecte your device to its power supply.

I haven't tried it yet, but will try later.
