Gathering feedback

Per device Mobile Flow folder

It would be nice to have a different folder name per device.

Or the ability to change the name from within the client app.

This way different clients can backup / sync their own pictures to their own folder.

After having many issues, I finally have my Lima working. To my shock I realized that all my videos and photos are stored together in the Mobile Flow folder. That approach to backing up my devices and computers is totally useless if I cannot segregate my files by source. It is disheartening to see that this has been a long-standing and unresolved "feature". Really disappointed that the actual experience with Lima is far less than the promise.

Yeah same here. Still waiting and hoping for Lima to step up and deliver. Maybe if we keep this thread alive and receive more likes they will actually do something with this..

Gathering feedback for more than two years now... I'm guessing this will never be resolved..

I gave up on lima. No answers anymore from support for 3 months now.

I switched to a Nas that can run third party apps. Installed Resilio Sync on it and i can do all that lima promised and it is working as a charm including Unification and multiple users. The lima idea was great, progress too slow... and too mich bugs/issues/failures/reinstalls...

I have had the same issue with support. I've tried for over 6 months to get them to reply to a technical issue and absolutely no reply. Thinking of throw my Lima in the garbage.

They must have gone out of business.

What is that NAS your talking about. I need to replace my Lima with something else

Got my Lima through the Kickstarter project. Seemed very promising... But now over two years later a lot of promised functionality is still not available and is remains to be seen if it ever will be. Multi user / per device mobile folder sync is a must in my opinion.

I checked the site of Resilio Sync for compatible devices (https://www.resilio.com/platforms/other-devices/) and picked the WD EX2 Ultra. Perhaps I would have taken a more pro one if I had to buy another one (in terms of cpu speed and ram). But the EX2 Ultra does the job for me. And you can get 2 of those to back each other up (do I hear Lima?)

My set up: WD EX2 Ultra with Resilio Sync installed on it (paid version of Resilio Sync). Works like a charm. PC/Mac, iphone and ipad are running the Resilio app (my personal devices are linked in my personal Resilio app)... and the NAS has the folders added as 'Shares'. That way you can assign the shared folders to the right user on the NAS. To get unification, I simply shared the Desktop folder, Documents folder, Pictures and movies folders. Now they are the same on all devices... Just go slow adding the files if it is a lot. Then it might be wise to add 1 folder at a time and let it finish sync before adding another one.

By the way, the paid version of the Resilio app allows for Selective Sync. So all the files are available but downloaded by choice. I set it up so my Mac and Nas both have all the files synced And the Laptop, iphone/ipad as selective sync -> download files when necessary.
