I had a problem with video playing OK, but no sound from some files.I've had to turn on Video Player Experimental (in the settings menu) to get streaming video to work properly.

Without it, I get audio from mp4 but not from avi or mkv.

Hi Lammy,

Is it slow as well when the file is in off-line mode ?

No it's nothing to do with video loading itself, it's the streaming. Possibly the buffering? All I know is that when you watch a video it takes upwards of 12 seconds to start playback. But usually you can skip to a different part of the video and only have to wait a second or two. Sometimes even on a 4G connection the playback pauses to buffer and playback resumes. This is regardless of network speed or type as this happens on WiFi and mobile data.

Also, picture loading takes too long. Nearly as long as loading a video, which makes me think it has something to do with the connection between the app software and the Lima device software. It's almost like it decrypts and plays back in real time, stores that as temporary cache and forgets it the next time you open the app up.

Finally, why is there no position saving with videos? Watching half a movie, then closing the app or backing out causes the video to start from the beginning again once played. This is an absolutely basic video playback feature that should already exist but doesn't.
